Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport baseball team went 1-1 Friday in a doubleheader against the nationally ranked #24 Cortland Red Dragons. The win in game two gave Coach Beach his 350th career win and ended Cortland's 17-game win streak.
Game One – The Golden Eagles lost the first game of the series 4-0 to start the set on Friday.
Adam Douglas started on the mound for the Green and Gold. He pitched a total of 7.0 innings, let up nine hits, three runs and one walk. Douglas struck out six batters across the 29 at bats.
Ryan Mansell hit in a single to left field in the second and
Justin Pangburn walked, but both men were left on base.
Cortland scored two runs in the top of the fifth inning. Then scored the third run of the game in the top of the seventh and the final run in the top of the eighth.
The Red Dragons pitchers held Brockport scoreless and to just one hit in the game.
Justin DelVecchio pitched the last two innings of the game giving up two hits and one run for the Green and Gold.

Cortland started game two with a run in the top of the first inning.
Brockport got on the board in the bottom of the second.
Ryan Voight hit a single to left field followed by a single from
Ryan Mansell.
Josh Indek singled earning his first collegiate RBI bringing home Voight. Indek then advanced to second on a throwing error and Mansell scored.
Brockport scored its final run of the 3-2 game in the bottom of the seventh.
Johnny Genau was hit by a pitch. Indek then hit a single and advanced to second on a throw while Genau advanced to third.
Jason Mansell reached first by an error, Genau scored and Indek was left on third.
Cortland scored its final run in the top of the eighth.
Matthew Colucci pitched 7.1 innings. He let up nine hits, two runs and struck out four batters.
Anthony Lapine pitched the last 1.2 innings of the game.
Brockport will be back for the final game of the three game series tomorrow at 10am, at the Clark V. Whited Complex in Brockport, NY.
