Rochester, NY – The SUNY Brockport track and field team competed at the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational on Saturday.
Julianne Wilson ran a 12:27.51 for third place in the 3000m steeplechase. Teammate Maeve Robarge took sixth place with a 12:57.66. In the men's steeplechase
Paul Suflita (9:23.96) and
Thomas Kressly (9:30.00) took first and second with regional qualifying times.
Running a 4:52.66, Kerry Flower's regional qualifying time in the 1500 took third on the day. In the men's 1500m
Jared Smith also hit the regional standard with his finish of 4:00.50.
Jennifer Metz clocked in at 59.98 in the 400m to hit the regional mark. Clara Sensini took a third place finish with a 1:09.11 in the 400m hurdles.
Gabriel Winters-Bona's 15:13.51 in the 5000m run also hit the regional qualifying time, earning him second at the meet.
Sarah Crockett threw a 13.05 for the top spot in the shot put and took third with a 45.57 in the hammer throw. She also snagged fifth place in the discus with a distance of 37.30.
Matthew Muscolo placed second with his mark of 43.34 in the men's discus.
Alex Rood (14.36) and
Jason Marincic (13.85) took first and second at the meet in the shot put.
Matthew Jackson earned second with a 54.04 in the hammer throw.
Dustin Meyer won the men's pole vault with his clearance height of 4.86m. Teammate Paul Dunbar cleared 4.31m for third place. In the women's pole vault Tess Eicher also took third by clearing 3.26m.
Michaela Levesque took the top spot by clearing 1.53m in the women's high jump.
Alex Irving's 13.78m in the men's triple jump was good for third. In the women's long jump, Mia Montgomery won the event with a leap of 5.65m.
Rebecca Heuler threw a distance of 32.49m to place second in the women's javelin throw.
Overall at the meet both teams took third with the men scoring a 105.5 and the women putting up a 109.
