Oneonta, NY – The SUNY Brockport softball team was on the road for a doubleheader with Oneonta on Friday. Oneonta got the 2-0 sweep on the day, as the Green and Gold opens up conference play at 0-2.
Brockport 2, Oneonta 10 – Game 1
Olivia Hayden recorded Brockport's lone RBI in the game, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Kellie Gentlie also stole a base while batting 1-for-3 with a double.

Amanda Blakely drew walks and came around to score a run.
Roseland Stroh (L, 1-2) pitched the whole game for Brockport in her second start of the year. She had one strikeout while allowing 11 hits and seven earned runs.
The Red Dragons got off to a strong start with five runs in the first inning and they would add a sixth in the second. Brockport got on the bases and brought in two home to respond in the second.
Riley Barrett put the ball in play with the bases loaded which was misplayed by the Oneonta shortstop. DeJesus came in to score on the play to get Brockport on the board. Hayden then hit a single to score Blakely to make it a 5-2 game.
Oneonta added two more runs in the fourth inning and scored another pair in the bottom of the fifth. This ended the game in the fifth with the Red Dragons taking the game one win, 10-2.
Brockport 1, Oneonta 9 – Game 2
Olivia Hayden went 1-for-2 in the leadoff spot to start the Green and Gold in game two.
Annie Dipirro took her spot at first base, also connecting for one hit in two at-bats.
Emma DeJesus also went 1-for-2 in the contest at the plate.
Hannah Jacobs recorded the lone RBI, hitting a sac fly that scored
Riley Barrett during a pinch runner situation.
Fiona Gibiser (L, 2-5) went the whole way as the starter on the mound. She allowed eight earned runs on eight hits.
The Golden Eagles look to bounce back against New Paltz on Saturday. The SUNYAC doubleheader begins at 12pm down in New Paltz, NY.
