New Paltz, NY – The SUNY Brockport softball team concluded the weekend with two losses in a doubleheader against New Paltz. The Golden Eagles move to 0-4 in conference play after falling to the Hawks on Saturday.
In the first game of the day New Paltz took the victory, 6-0, behind a no-hitter from pitcher Lindsay Roman (W, 9-2).
Fiona Gibiser (L, 2-6) started in the circle for the Green and Gold, going the full game once again. She struck out four, allowing five earned runs on 11 hits.
The Hawks took another win in the second leg of the doubleheader, 8-0. Brockport's
Jenna Downey was 1-for-2 with a double and
Annie Dipirro was 1-for-1 at the plate.
Roseland Stroh (L, 1-3) pitch the full way for the Green and Gold, allowing six earned on nine hits.
The Golden Eagles are scheduled to host the University of Rochester on Wednesday, April 12
th for their home opener. The non-conference doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 3pm.
