Utica, NY – On Sunday, the Brockport track and field team competed at the Utica Pioneer Fast Chance Meet.
In the men's hammer throw event,
Matthew Jackson set a new facility record at the meet. He took first place with his distance of 56.51m, which also qualified him for regionals.
Emma Kinnicutt and Sarah Crockett both hit the regional qualifying mark for the hammer throw. Kinnicutt threw a 46.38 for fifth and Crockett registered a 46.08 for sixth.
Madison Baker took fourth place in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 16.74. She also finished 11
th in the 400m hurdles with a 1:12.07.
Brianna Lawless ran a 26.08 in the 200m to finish sixth.
In the women's 400m event, Courtney Bostic clocked in at 1:03.34 to earn eighth place.
With a distance of 37.70m, Katrina Chandler took fourth in the discus. Emma Kinnicutt, Sarah Crockett, and Rebecca Heuler all finished inside the top 10 for the event.
In the men's discus throw,
Matthew Muscolo placed sixth with a throw of 41.88m.
Sarah Crockett hit the regional qualifying mark in the shot put with her mark of 12.59m. In the men's shot put,
Jason Marincic threw a 14.99 to also qualify for regionals.
In the women's high jump, Michaela Levesque cleared 1.58m to hit the regional mark.
Chris Weiner finished seventh in the men's pole vault with a regional qualifying mark of 4.46m.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Monday at Widener University down in Chester, PA. This will be their last chance to hit the regional marks prior to the AARTFC Championships that begin on May 17th.
