Oneonta, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's track and field team is tied for second place with 43 team points following the first day of action at the SUNYAC Championships on Friday.
Matthew Jackson's hammer throw distance of 53.26m was good for second in the event on day one.
With a clearance height of 4.70m,
Dustin Meyer earned silver in the men's pole vault taking second place.
In the 10,000m race,
Paul Suflita's time of 31:08.17 earned him third place for the bronze medal.
Ian Szemcsak is ranked second in the decathlon after the first five events with his score of 3,014 points.
The Golden Eagles are back in action on Saturday, starting at 10am for the final day of action at the SUNYAC Championships.
