Women's Track & Field Finishes in 2nd Place at SUNYAC Championships

Oneonta, NY – On Saturday the SUNY Brockport women's track and field team concluded the SUNYAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in second place with 166 points. Geneseo claimed the conference crown with a total of 291 points.
 
Clara Sensini, Marissa Wise, Jennifer Metz, and Sarah Levine took the silver medal in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:55.64.
 
Sarah Crockett threw a 13.15m in her second attempt in the shot put, she places second to take the silver medal.
 
Michaela Levesque hit 1.62m in the high jump for the silver medal. Teammate Sarah Killip cleared 1.57m in the event to place fourth.
 
Emma Kinnicutt and Sarah Crockett took silver and bronze medals in the discus throw. Kinnicutt took second with a distance of 38.41m and Crockett was third with a 37.76m.
 
Mia Montgomery grabbed third place in the triple jump with her distance of 11.29m on her fifth attempt.
 
Earning bronze in the 4x100m relay, the team of Courtney Bostic, Sarah Levine, Marissa Wise, and Mia Montgomery ran a time of 49.17 for third place.
 
In the 3000m steeplechase, Veronica Dailey grabbed the bronze medal with a third-place time of 11:26.53.
 
Clara Sensini earned third place in the 400m with a time of 58.24 for the bronze medal. Teammates Sarah Levine (4th) and Marissa Wise (5th) ran times of 58.27 and 59.78 respectively to score nine more points.
 
Jennifer Metz clocked in at 2:18.95 to medal in the 800m with a third-place finish.
 
In the 200m, Marissa Wise ran a 25.69 to take third place for a bronze medal.
 
Madison Baker scored four points for the team in the heptathlon. She took fifth place with her score of 3,001 points in the event.
 
Finishing in sixth place, Kerry Flower ran a time of 18:18.33 to score for Brockport in the 5000m.
 
The Golden Eagles will have one last weekend for their athletes to hit the regional qualifying standards. They head to Utica on Saturday, May 14th and Widener on Sunday the 15th for the last chance before the AARTFC Championships on May 17th and 18th.
