Raylens Boutin of the SUNY Brockport football team recently earned his 10^th postseason accolade as he was named to the 2023 Associated Press Division III All-American Second Team. The AP Division III All-America team is chosen by a panel of sports information directors who cover D-III football.

Throughout his career, Boutin has made plays all over the secondary for Brockport's nationally recognized defensive unit. In total he has racked up 172 tackles (127 solo), 14 interceptions, 39 pass breakups, two blocked kicks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
 
Raylens has found the endzone for the Golden Eagles on six different occasions throughout his career. This includes four interceptions returned for a touchdown, with two coming in the same game against Framingham State back in 2019.
 
He did the rest of his damage as a return specialist for the Green and Gold, showing off his talents as a punt returner and kick returner. For his career he has returned 23 punts for 240 yards and two touchdowns. In 2023 he brought two kicks back for scores and averaged 16.3 yards per return, ranking fifth in the nation. For his career he averages 14.8 yards on the punt return. On the kickoff he had the chance to run back four kicks for 119 yards, earning a career average of 29.8 yards per attempt.
 
Boutin being named Associated Press All-American earns the Brockport football program its first since 2018 when Austin Dean, Caleb Ferdilus, Matt Arita and Rashad Baker earned the honor. He is now the 59^th player in program history to become an All-American for the Golden Eagles.
 
Brockport football finished the 2023 campaign at 8-3 overall and 5-1 in Empire 8 play. The squad made its seventh consecutive postseason berth, by earning a chance to play in the ECAC's Asa S. Bushnell Bowl Game against Carnegie Mellon to close out the year.
