Buffalo, NY - The Brockport women's basketball team cruised to a 67-53 win over Buffalo State on Tuesday, January 30
th. The Golden Eagles improved 10-10 overall and 6-7 in SUNYAC play following the win.

The Golden Eagles' defense set the tone from the get-go, holding the Bengals to just 22 points in the opening half. Brockport would take a 29-22 lead into the break, thanks to a combined 14 points from
Anna Lee and
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste.

Brockport's offense would extend the lead in the third, with
Mallory Turner drilling a three to make it a 23-point lead.
Buffalo State would threaten in the fourth, with Carly Atty's three cutting the lead to 11 before
Zoe Zutes responded with her three-point hit to put the game out of reach. Zutes would finish with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds in a double-double performance.

Brockport ruled the glass throughout, outrebounding Buffalo State 50 to 41. The Golden Eagles defense held Buffalo State to just 30.3% shooting from the floor.Â

Anna Lee turned in an excellent performance, scoring a career-high 18 points (game-high), with seven rebounds and a steal.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste paced the offense with 17 points, five rebounds, two steals, and two assists.

Zairea Hannah was busy throughout, scoring seven points with seven rebounds and four assists.
