Alfred, NY- The Brockport men's soccer team took down Alfred on the road, 2-1, on Wednesday, October 16^th. The Golden Eagles improved to 5-6-2 on the season with a 4-3-1 mark in Empire 8 play.
 
The Golden Eagles would face adversity early, with Christian Moon of Alfred notching the game's opening goal at the 4:13 mark, putting the Saxons up 1-0.
 
Brockport would play a strong 1^st half, outshooting Alfred 10-5 but would still themselves down 1-0 entering the 2^nd half.
 
The Golden Eagle's scoring chances would keep coming in the 2^nd half, expanding their shot advantage to 10-2 in the 2^nd half (7 SOG).
 
In the 80^th minute, the Green and Gold would finally break through, thanks to an unassisted tally from Juliuz Kemp to tie the match at 1-1.
 
With less than 30 seconds remaining, Brockport would find the golden goal. Gael Baraldi would bury Brady Reinagel's feed with 23 seconds remaining to give Brockport a key 2-1 conference win.
 
Andrew Taylor picked up the win, making 2 stops and holding the Saxons scoreless for the final 55:47 of the contest.
 
Gael Baraldi would lead Brockport in shots (4), with his lone shot on net serving as the game-winner.
 
Andrew Taylor, Khadim Amar, and Giovanni Cardona all played the entire 90 minutes in strong efforts for Brockport.
