Webster, NY – On Saturday, the SUNY Brockport swim and dive teams hosted the Brockport Early Season Invite at the Webster Aquatic Center. Competing against Geneseo, Grove City, and Penn State Behrend, both Brockport's men (285 points) and women (431.5 points) took fourth place at the meet.
To start the meet, the women's 200-yard medley relay team of Miya Vitale, Addy Martino, Madeline Erhardt, and Sarah Kilburn placed third with a 1:54.74.
In the men's relay, Brockport placed fourth with a time of 1:43.23 off of the efforts from
Luca Olivieri,
Josh Lauzonis, Erik Parkes, and
Garrett Nanna.
Individually, Addy Martino clocked in at 1:12.56 for fourth in the women's 100-breaststroke event. Martino also took third in the 200-breaststroke thanks to her time of 2:37.48.
Sarah Kilburn then placed third in the 50-freestyle with a time of 25.66 in her solo event.
On the diving board, Brockport's lone diver competing on the day was Jennah Bovay. The first-year Golden Eagle placed eighth on the 1-meter board (128.95) and seventh on the 3-meter board (140.30).
As usual the meet closed out with the 200-freestyle relays, where the Brockport women's group took third with a time of 1:47.29. The group this time around was Emma Butler, Miya Vitale, Hannah Ramos, and Sarah Kilburn.
On the men's side it was
Garrett Nanna, Erik Parkes, Will Mergl, and
Jace Fredericksen that took fourth in the 200-freestyle relay. These four Golden Eagles teamed up for a 1:32.48 performance in the event.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, October 26th for a trip to the Alfred University Tri-Meet to compete against Alfred University and Alfred State. The meet is set to begin at 1pm.
