Brockport, NY – The Women's Soccer team is set to host the Utica Pioneers on home turf on Saturday, October 26th at 3pm for Senior Day where the team's seniors will be honored.
Last Week – Last Wednesday, the Golden Eagles won their match-up against the Alfred Saxons with a 1-0 shutout under the lights.
McKenna Slate showed out with an early goal just eight minutes into the first period with an assist by
Caitlin Nelson. The team had a total of 10 shots total on the game with four on goal.
On Saturday, October 19th, the team came to play with a dominating 7-1 win at Elmira facing the Soaring Eagles.
Megan Gerber,
Maryalice Skutnik,
Madison Hughes and
Jaylah Cossin all had one goal on the day and
Amelia Breton showed out with three for Green and Gold for a total of six individual points.
Caitlin Nelson and
Jaylah Cossin both had one assist for the team, and
Autumn Edwards and
Kaleigh Pettit both had a total of two.
On Monday, Sophomore
Amelia Breton was named the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week from her strong game on Saturday. This 2024 season, Breton has a total of seven goals and a total of 14 points with 36 shots overall and 15 on goal.
A Look at Utica – The Pioneers currently sit at 4-10-2 overall on the 2024 season and 2-5-2 in the E8 Conference. Last season they wrapped up at 7-5-5 overall and 3-1-4 in conference play.
Next Weekend – The Golden Eagles are set to travel to Geneseo to face the Knights on Wednesday, October 30th at 4pm where they will play their last in season game before moving on to the first round of the E8 Conference Tournament.
