Utica, NY—The Brockport men's soccer team fought to a 1-1 draw at Utica on Saturday, October 26
th. The Golden Eagles moved to 6-6-3 on the season with a 5-3-2 mark in Empire 8 play.
Following over 40 minutes of scoreless play,
Juliuz Kemp would connect for his second goal of the season, putting Brockport up 1-0 entering halftime.
The first shot of second half would flip the script for the Pioneers. Noah Nassberg would bury the equalizer for Utica, tying up the contest at 1-1 at the 50:35 mark.
Corner kick opportunities were nonexistent, as Brockport was held without a corner in the second half.
Andrew Taylor would keep the contest tied with a big save in the half, but the Golden Eagles were unable to break the 1-1 tie.
The Golden Eagles held an 11-6 shot edge over the Pioneers, with eight shots on goal compared to five from Utica.
Andrew Taylor was strong throughout, playing all 90 minutes and making four saves.
Giovanni Cardona led all Golden Eagles with two shots on goal.
