Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's basketball team will host former conference rival Oswego in home opener action on Tuesday, November 19^th at 5:30 p.m.
 
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles lost an 85-69 matchup at John Carroll in Ohio on Saturday, November 16^th. Brockport moved to 1-3 on the season following its road trip to Ohio to begin the season.
 
Zachary Rice would lead Brockport in scoring, dropping 18 points with six rebounds and two steals.
 
Tony Arnold scored 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a dynamic effort.
 
Alex Tavarez (14 min, six rebounds) and Adewale Fasanmi (3 min, 2-2 FG) made the most of their minutes, scoring six points each.   
 
Returning Home: Beginning the season with four games in Ohio, the Golden Eagles will be ready to return to their home court. Brockport has been a difficult team to beat at home, posting an excellent 47-14 record at The VLOG over the last five seasons.
 
Starting Hot: Averaging 7.3 points and 2.4 rebounds last season, junior Zachary Rice has taken an expanded role in the Brockport offense to begin the season. Rice has averaged 17 points through four games with 6.3 rebounds, shooting a strong 41.2% from beyond the arc.
 
Scouting Oswego: The Lakers are coming off a successful 26-3 2023-24 season, finishing with an appearance in the NCAA Championship tournament. Oswego is 3-1 to begin the season, most recently falling to St. Lawrence 45-44 last Wednesday. The Golden Eagles will enter Tuesday looking to snap a four-game losing streak to the Lakers.
