Brockport, NY – On Saturday morning the Golden Eagle volleyball team took down RIT, 3-1, in the final match of the regular season. Brockport finishes the season 16-9 overall and earned the No. 6 seed for the postseason with a 7-4 record in the Empire 8.
To get things started at The Vlog, RIT came out to win the first set 25-13 to take an early 1-0 lead. Brockport then bounced back in the best way by taking the next three sets. The home team won by scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-22 to pull out a 3-1 victory.
Alexis Sison had another solid 2-way outing with a team-high 14 kills and 17 digs.
Elsie Logan had 22 digs to lead the team's effort on defense.
Gianna Felipe had 12 digs of her own.
The Golden Eagles had a season-high 16 service aces on the day. They saw aces from

Lauren Emke (2). Jewett also led the squad with 21 assists as the setter.
Maddy Howell led the blockers in the middle with one solo and three assisted blocks. Brockport saw assisted blocks from

Regina Salazar (1).
Brockport will now head to the postseason where it will compete in the Empire 8 Tournament for the first time. The group will travel to take on No. 3 Hartwick at 7pm on Tuesday, November 12
th in the E8 Quarterfinals.
