Brockport, NY – The Men's and Women's Indoor Track team is set to begin the 2024-25 season on Friday, December 6th at Houghton University for the Houghton December Classic starting at 3:30pm.
Men's Team Last Season:
The men's team had a successful 2023-24 season after finishing up at 3
rd place in the SUNYAC Championships, 7
th in the AARTFC Championships and sending two individual qualifiers to represent Brockport at the NCAA DIII Championships.
Regionals Recap: In the AARTFC Championships, the men's distance medley relay clinched third place scoring a total of six points for the team at a time of 10:09.80 with

Nick Markle,
Owen Arbocus, and
Jonathan Zavala making up the relay.
Next up,
Michael Durski,
Craig Duffy,
Ayden Grinion, and
Jacob Miller all competed in the 4x400 with a quick time of 3:17.68 good for a second-place finish and securing eight points for Brockport.
Jared Smith finished in the men's 3k at a time of 8:27.07 and taking second place overall.
Matthew Jackson took 7
th in the men's weight throw with a distance of 16.42m.
Thomas Kressly placed 10
th overall in the mile crossing the line with a time of 4:17.86.
Owen Arbocus earned a 9
th place finish in the men's 800m making his mark at 1:57.46.
Alex Rood took 7
th place in the men's shot-put earning 2 points with his 12.12m throw.
Nationals Recap: Jonathan Zavala and
Jacob Miller both had qualifying times to compete in the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships where Zavala was set to race in the mile and Miller the 400 for the preliminary round.
Zavala earned qualification for the finals of the men's mile taking 11
th place with a quick mark of 4:12.19 while Miller earned an 11
th place finish with a solid 48.32-second mark, securing him Second Team All-American, where his historic season came to an end.
In the finals of the NCAA Championships, Zavala finished 3
rd overall with a program record of 4:06.09 which earned him the honor of becoming a First Team All-American in the mile.
Women's Team Last Season:
The women also had a strong 2023-34 season where they took second place overall in the SUNYAC Championships and 5
th in the AARTFC Championships
Regionals recap: In the women's distance medley relay, the team that consisted of Veronica Dailey, Ariana Proper, Vanessa Ramos, and Mia Vizcaino took 7
th place finishing at a time of 12:39.89 earning two points for the team.
In the pole vault, Rebecca Bready (6
th, 3.45m) and Tess Eichner (7
th, 3.3m), scored a total of 3.75 combined points for Brockport.
Kerry Flower had a day placing first in the women's 5000m race crossing the line at 17:38.58 and snagged 10 points for the team. Flower also took second place in the 3k making a new program record at a time of 10:07.80.
Sarah Crockett took bronze in shot put throwing a mark of 13.27m and scored 6 points for the team. Crockett also finished up at 4
th overall in the women's weight throw at 16.71m.
Marissa Wise finished in the top 10 in the women's 400 coming in 9
th with a time of 59.28
