Women's Basketball to Host Geneseo for Senior Day

Brockport, NY - The Brockport women's basketball team will close out regular season play with Senior Day against Geneseo on Saturday, February 17th at 2 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles ran away in the fourth quarter to pick up a much-needed victory over Oswego, 71-55, on Saturday, February 10th. The Golden Eagles moved to 13-11 overall and 9-8 in conference play, clinching a spot in the SUNYAC postseason tournament.

Zairea Hannah would make history, setting a new single-season program record in rebounding. Hannah would put together one of her best performances as a Golden Eagle, scoring 19 points with 16 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste paced the offense with 16 points, chipping in on the glass with six rebounds.

Mandy Brink was effective throughout, scoring 15 points and going 3-for-5 shooting from three (60%).

Anna Lee played a strong two-way game for Brockport, scoring 11 points and snatching four steals.

Zoe Zutes chipped in with eight points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

Senior Day: Before the start of Saturday's SUNYAC matchup, the Golden Eagles will recognize the 2024 women's basketball senior class, made up of Zairea Hannah, Hali Lucia, Kelsey Morgans, and Zoe Zutes.

Conference Leaders: With one SUNYAC game remaining, multiple Golden Eagles are in a position to finish at the top of the SUNYAC in multiple statistical categories:
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste: PPG (15.8, 3rd), Steals/G (2.1, 3rd), FT PCT (76.4%, 3rd)  
Zoe Zutes: 3PT PCT (45.9%, 1st), Blocks/G (1.9, 3rd), REB/G (6.4, 10th), FG PCT (43.3%, 8th)
Zairea Hannah: REB/G (12.6, 1st), Blocks/G (1.5, 4th), FG PCT (42.1, 9th)
 
Scouting Geneseo: The Knights currently sit 3rd in the SUNYAC standings with a 17-7 overall record and a 12-5 mark in SUNYAC play, clinching a spot in the SUNYAC tournament. Kiley Snow and Kerry Dennin lead the Knights in scoring, averaging 13.2 ppg each, with teammate Audrey Hintz currently leading the SUNYAC in FG PCT (58.3%). The Golden Eagles will enter Saturday's matchup looking to snap an 8-game head-to-head losing streak against the Knights.
