Buffalo, NY – Wednesday the Golden Eagle swim and dive teams opened up the first day of the SUNYAC Championships, hosted by ECC. Only five events were on the schedule for the first of the 4-day championship meet.
In the men's 200-medley relay, Brockport scored 24 points from a seventh place finish in the event.

Garrett Nanna, and
Jack Olsian swam a 1:40.38 in the race.
On the women's side of the action, the 200-medley relay team earned second place to take home silver. Miya Vitale, Addy Martino, Sarah Kilburn, and Elizabeth Sagan each earned a medal and 32 points for the team after swimming a 1:48.51.
Ren Watson snagged 14 points for the Golden Eagles in the 3-meter diving competition. Ren posted a finals score of 429.50 for fifth place in the event.
The men's team earned another fifth-place finish in the 800-freestyle relay.

Alex Scaglione teamed up for a time of 7:17.04. The group scored 28 more points for the team.
The Golden Eagles earned more hardware to close out the day, taking bronze in the women's 800-freestyle relay. Scoring 32 points with a time of 8:10.14, it was Elizabeth Sagan, Emily LeFrois-Heath, Madison Parobek, and Miya Vitale who took third in the event.
The men's team enters day two with a total of 66 points after three events. The women have totaled 64 points after their first two events of the SUNYAC Championships. Day two begins Thursday morning back at ECC.
