Women's Swim & Dive Takes 3rd at SUNYACs, Men's Team Places 6th

Buffalo, NY - The Brockport Golden Eagles finished up the final day of the SUNYAC Conference Championships on Saturday. The women took third place with the most points in program history of 565.5, just 35 points behind second place. The men finished in sixth place with a score of 232.
 
Jace Fredericksen finished ninth in the 1650yard freestyle with a time of 17:37.26. Michael Laviani finished in eleventh place with a time of 17:48.30. Ryan Sampson finished in 17th place with a time of 19:02.21.
 
Hannah Pauly finished in eleventh place with a time of 19:33.40. Emilena Wilck finished in 13th with a time of 19:52.94. Esther Zadov finished in 15th with a time of 20:02.81.
 
Luca Olivieri broke the program record in the 200yard backstroke with a time of 1:57.63 and a sixth place finish. Matt Cole placed 12th with a time of 2:05.42.
 
Miya Vitale broke the program record in prelims with a time of 2:10.63 (originally 2:11.57) and finished sixth in finals with a time of 2:12.82. Brienne Westfall finished in 14th place with a time of 2:22.81.
 
Elizabeth Sagan and Sarah Kilburn finished in fourth and fifth in the 100yard freestyle with times of 52.93 and 53.40. Emily Meissner finished in 12th with. time of 55.49. Emma Purvis finished in 14th with a time of 57.42. tied with teammate Madison Parobek.
 
Addy Martino placed third with a time 2:29.02. Sam Whitman placed eighth with a time of 2:39.51. Kyla Bugbee went 2:43.83 and placed 12th.
 
Matthew Chan finished 16th in the 200fly with a time of 2:14.33.
 
Emily LeFrois-Heath finished fourth with a time of 2:14.53 in the 200fly. Maddie Erhardt finished in ninth with a time of 2:24.92. Emi Wilck finished in 11th with a time of 2:30.69.
 
Kyra Russ earned gold and broke her own record this afternoon with a score of 476.10 on the women's 3-meter diving event.
 
The team of Alex Scaglione, Jack Olsian, Garrett Nanna and Luca Olivieri finished in sixth with a time of 3:15.49 in the 400yard freestyle relay.
 
The team of Elizabeth Sagan, Sarah Kilburn, Emily LeFrois-Heath and Emily Meissner finished in second with a time of 3:38.03 in the 400 yard freestyle relay wrapping up the meet.
 
Kyra Russ has won the 2024 Diver of the Year Award for and Logan Kime won the SUNYAC Conference Elite 20 Award for the second year in a row.
 
Kyra Russ will head to regional diving competition next weekend at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
