Brockport, NY - The Golden Eagles will return home for two SUNYAC matchups, beginning with Brockport's annual Play4Kay game against Cortland on Friday, February 7
th at 5:30 p.m. The Green and Gold will wrap up this weekend's action against Oswego on Saturday, February 7
th at 2 p.m.
 
Play4Kay: Friday night is the annual Play4Kay game for the Golden Eagles, as they are one of many teams around the country participating in the annual fundraiser. Started by Hall of Fame Coach Kay Yow from NC State, she started Play4Kay as a way to bring communities together and honor cancer warriors in the fight against ALL cancers affecting women.
 
Uniting 
players, 
coaches, 
officials, and 
fans to do something for the greater good that far exceeds wins and losses in competition, the Play4Kay initiative is the Kay Yow Cancer Foundation's largest fundraiser and plays a major role in the fight against cancer.   
 
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles erased a 10-point halftime deficit to take down Oneonta in overtime, 79-75, on Saturday, February 3
rd. The win moved Brockport to 11-11 overall and 7-8 in SUNYAC play.
 
Zoe Zutes led all scorers in the game with 23 points. Zutes went 6-for-12 from the field, 3-for-4 from long range, and 8-for-10 at the foul line. 
 
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste totaled 18 points and nine boards. All of Jean-Baptiste's 18 points came in the second half (including overtime).  
 
 
Zairea Hannah posted another double-double, finishing with 12 points and 17 boards.
 
SUNYAC Standings: The Golden Eagles will enter their last three SUNYAC games with the opportunity to climb to as high as the #4 seed for the SUNYAC tournament. The full SUNYAC standings are listed below (as of February 7

All Hands on Deck: Brockport has produced effective scoring from multiple sources thus far, with four players exceeding 9.0 ppg on the season.

Zoe Zutes (10.5 ppg), 
Zairea Hannah (10.1 ppg), and 
Anna Lee (9 ppg) make up the top-4 scorers for Brockport. 
Mandy Brink, 
Shannon Blankenship, and 
Hali Lucia have all provided 10+ point outings from Brockport on the season.
 
SUNYAC Leaders: With three regular season games remaining, 
Zairea Hannah and 
Zoe Zutes hold significant leads in their respective statistical categories. 
Zairea Hannah leads the SUNYAC by over 2.5 rebounds per game, averaging a SUNYAC-best 12.8 rebounds a game, and leading the conference in total offensive and defensive rebounding. 
Zoe Zutes has maintained elite three-point shooting throughout the season, shooting 46.6% from beyond the arc, and 5% ahead of 2
nd place.   
 
Scouting Cortland: The Red Dragons have clinched a spot in the SUNYAC tournament, sitting at 16-5 overall and 12-2 in conference play. Cortland is in the midst of a 4-game winning streak, most recently rolling past Plattsburgh on the road, 64-48. Brockport will enter Friday's contest looking to snap a 7-game head-to-head losing streak against Cortland.
 
Scouting Oswego: The Lakers currently sit in 4
th in the current SUNYAC standings, holding a strong 12-8 overall record with an 8-6 mark in SUNYAC play. The Oswego offense has been powered by committee, with eight players scoring five points or more per game. The Golden Eagles will be looking to avenge a 5-point loss against Oswego that took place back on January 5
th.
