Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles fell 7-3 to the University of Rochester Yellow Jackets, Tuesday afternoon at Clark V Whited. Brockport is now 15-10 overall and stays at 4-5 in the SUNYAC Conference. 
 
Tyler Pohlman started on the mound today pitching 3.0 innings on the mound. Pohlman let up four this, two runs, one walk and struck out two batters across the 14 batters faced.
 
The Yellow Jackets got on the board first, scoring one run in the top of the second inning and another in the third and fourth.
 
Cole Traudt got the ball rolling in the bottom of the fourth inning with a single to left field. TJ Strevell followed that up with another single, putting Traudt on second. Nick Mahar singled to center field leaving the bases loaded for Brian Tietjen. Tietjen was hit by a pitch, sending Traudt over home plate for run number one of the day. Matt Mayer singled to left batting home Mahar and Strevell. Mayer was tagged out on a double play that ended the inning.
 
University of Rochester scored four more runs in the top of the fifth.
 
Keegan Jarvais pitched 1.0 inning, letting up two hits, five runs, and two walks across eight at-bats. Bryce Tyndell pitched 2.0 innings, striking out one batter and letting up one walk across five at-bats. Brendan Pajak pitched 1.0 inning letting up one hit and striking out one batter across four plate appearances. Anthony Lapine pitched 1.0 inning letting up one hit across three at-bats. Nick Deising finished out the game for the Green and Gold pitching one inning, and walking two batters.
 
Brockport will be back at Clark V. Whited this Friday and Saturday to host SUNY New Paltz in a 3-game series. Game one will begin at 3 pm on Friday, April 19^th, followed by a noon doubleheader on April 20^th.
