Geneseo, NY – Brockport lost a conference clash with Geneseo in a road game, 17-7, on Wednesday to finish a 3-game road trip. The Golden Eagles are now 7-6 overall and 4-3 in the SUNYAC.
The Knights had a huge first half on their home field with 12 goals, including seven in the first quarter. Brockport scored a goal in each period, as Geneseo held a 12-2 lead at halftime.
Alayna Foos scored late in the first quarter to get the squad on the board. It was the first of three goals in the contest as she posted a hat trick. Early in the second quarter,
Tristan Davis scored a goal to go with two draw controls.
Brockport won the third quarter, 4-3, to make it a 15-6 score going into the fourth. Another pair of goals from Geneseo created the final tally of 17-7.
Alayna Foos,
Hailey Lewkovich,
Cassidy Burnash, and
Paige Thowe all scored in the third quarter. Foos finished up the hat trick in the fourth.
Arianna Reed made 15 saves in net in a strong effort at goalie.
Sarah Kilburn grabbed a team-high seven draw controls.
The Golden Eagles will host Oneonta on Saturday for their final home games of the regular season. This SUNYAC matchup is set to start at 1pm on Senior Day for Brockport.
