Plattsburgh, NY – The SUNY Brockport softball team lost a pair of conference games on the road at Plattsburgh on Saturday. The Golden Eagles are now 8-22 overall and 2-10 in the SUNYAC.
 
Game 1: Brockport 0, Plattsburgh 4
 
The Golden Eagles were unable to get a run on the board in the first game of the doubleheader, as they had three hits in the game. Kellie Gentile (1-3), Olivia Simone (1-3), and Aubrey Ennis (1-3) all had hits.
 
Fiona Gibiser (L, 0-6) started and pitched the full 6.0 innings in the losing effort. She allowed seven hits, three earned runs, and had one strikeout.
 
Game 2: Brockport 1, Plattsburgh 6
 
Hadley Alguire (L, 3-6) started game two of the day, throwing the first 1.1 innings and allowing two earned runs. Kendall Phillips went 4.1 innings as a reliever, allowing four more runs to score and striking out seven batters. Gibiser finished out the final 0.2 innings in the circle.
 
At the plate, Brockport had three hits once again in the second game of the set. Riley Barrett (1-4), Olivia Simone (1-3), and Grace Talbut (1-1) all registered hits. Simone brought the team's lone run in to score with an RBI double in the third inning.
 
The Golden Eagles are set to finish out the regular season next week with three consecutive doubleheaders at home. They begin the week on Tuesday, April 30^th against Geneseo for a 3pm start.
