Brockport Women Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

SUNY Brockport was named a 2023-24 NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field All-Academic Team, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday.
 
Overall, there were 216 women's teams that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division III for the 2023-24 season.
 
Eligible teams recorded a cumulative team GPA of at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester. The Golden Eagles recorded a 3.35 GPA. Six programs from the Empire 8 Conference were named to All-Academic team.
 
This Spring, the Golden Eagles sent five individuals and one relay to the NCAA Division III Track & Field Outdoor National Championships. Rebecca Heuler won her first career National Championship in the javelin and was named a first team All-American.  Jonathan Zavala (1500m), Mia Montgomery (Long Jump), Matthew Jackson (Hammer Throw) and the 4x400m relay team of Craig Duffy, Ayden Grinion, Michael Durski, and Jacob Miller each earned All-American status at nationals. The women's program placed fourth at the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Championships hosted by Cortland.
