Brockport, NY – SUNY Brockport's women's soccer team is set to start the 2024 season on Friday, August 30
th at 4pm with a home opener against Allegheny. The Golden Eagles will continue the opening weekend with another home game on Saturday, August 31
st starting at 2pm against Skidmore.
Last Season – In the 2023 season, the Golden Eagles finished with an overall record of 12-3-5 and a SUNYAC conference record of 4-1-4 to earn the SUNYAC's No. 2 seed. The team fought to the SUNYAC Finals where its postseason run came to an end against the Cortland Red Dragons who were the No. 1 seed. Brockport was fortunate to have four all-conference selections at the end of the season in
Jaylah Cossin (2nd-Team),
Megan Gerber (3rd-Team),
Lyndsey Miller (3rd-Team), and
Madeline McCrosson (3rd-Team).
Returners – The Golden Eagles are fortunate to bring back 21 players from the 2023 squad, eight of which logged over 1,000 minutes played. Graduate Student
Jaylah Cossin returns following an excellent senior season where she led Brockport with 11 goals and seven assists for 29 points, earning 1st-Team All-Region III honors. Junior
Madeline McCrosson returns between the pipes for Brockport after a strong season where she allowed just nine goals and posted an 11-3-4 record to earn All-SUNYAC 2nd-Team. Sophomore

Kellie Gentile return as the backbone of the Brockport defense. Senior

Lyndsey Miller and
Megan Gerber, and sophomore
Amelia Breton all return to form a strong midfield group for the Green and Gold.
New Faces – The women's soccer program is welcoming 12 new additions to the team this season including freshmen

Ella Camalleri,
Dinah Gifford,
Sarah Williams,
Madison Hughes,
Megan Gates,
Marisa Closson, and
Camryn Childs. The team also added transfers
Autumn Edwards and
Sierra Edwards from Le Monye College, in addition to junior transfer
Caitlin Nelson who scored 11 goals with seven assists for 29 points in her sophomore season at MCC.
Breakout Candidate – Starting six games in her freshman year and scoring four goals,
McKenna Slate looks poised for a breakout in her sophomore season. Slate's four goals were tied for the second most for the Golden Eagles in 2023, finishing third on the team with eight points.

Scouting Allegheny – The Gators finished the 2023 season with a 6-10-1 record posting a 4-5-1 record in conference play. In last season's meeting against Allegheny, Brockport put up a 6-1 win on the road.
Scouting Skidmore – Skidmore finished the 2023 season with a 6-4-6 record with a 1-4-4 mark in conference play. In last year's matchup, the Thoroughbreds earned a hard fought 1-0 win at home against the Golden Eagles.
