Brockport, NY – The Brockport women's soccer team is set to play at home on Wednesday, September 11th at 4pm against the Buffalo State Bengals. The team will then hit the road for its first Empire 8 contest against Sage on Saturday, September 14th at 1pm.
Last Week – On Saturday, September 7th, the Golden Eagles hosted the Thiel Tomcats. They dominated at home, improving to 2-0-1 after the 6-0 shutout. The squad brought the heat with a total of 49 shots and 27 shots on goal.
Autumn Edwards totaled three points with one goal and one assist.

Madyson Whalen all found the back of the net in the blowout. Brockport saw assists from
Maryalice Skutnik,
Lyndsey Miller, and
Katie Hotaling in the contest.
Team Leaders: Three games into the season, it is transfer
Sierra Edwards leading the way offensively with seven total points. She leads the team with three goals and has one assist to her tally.
Jaylah Cossin (4pts) has scored a pair of goals, while
Maryalice Skutnik (4pts) has a goal and two assists.
Autumn Edwards has registered three points from one goal and one assist.
Goalies in Rotation: The Golden Eagles have been able to rotate all three goalies on the roster in for playing time through the first few games.
Karissa Champion has made two starts (112 min) and come up with seven saves.
Madeline McCrosson (96 min) has played in all three games, making two saves.
Emily McCane has one start and has appeared in two matches so far (61 min). Combined the three goalies have allowed no goals and put together three straight clean sheets to start the season.
A Look at Buff State and Sage – The Buffalo State Bengals sit at 2-2-0 after two shutout wins against Keuka College and Hilbert College. The Bengals also had two shutout losses against SUNY Geneseo and St. John Fisher. The Bengals finished up the 2023 season at 7-6-4 overall and 1-5-3 in conference play. The Sage College Gators are currently at a 0-1-2 record overall after a 1-0 loss against SUNY New Paltz and two draws against Nichols and Mass.-Boston. The Gators finished up last season 9-5-4 overall and 3-2-3 in conference play.
