Men's Soccer Earns First Empire 8 Win at Keuka

Keuka Park, NY- The Brockport men's soccer team picked up its first Empire 8 win, defeating Keuka College, 3-1, on Saturday, September 21st. The Golden Eagles improved to 2-4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
 
Russ Domm made an instant impact in his return to the lineup, burying a bar down goal at the 22:16 mark of the first half to open the scoring.
 
Less than five minutes later, the Golden Eagles would double their advantage. Peter Tinaj netted his second goal of the season, thanks to an assist from Alex Rivara.
 
Brockport would to a 2-0 lead into halftime, finishing the half with a 9-0 shot advantage.
 
The Wolves would create scoring chances in the second half, with Patrick Mucha finding the back of the net off a free kick to bring Keuka within one (2-1).
 
Following multiple Brockport corner kicks, Peter Tinaj would strike again in the 78th minute for his second goal on the day. The brace for Tinaj setup the 3-1 win for Brockport.
 
Outshooting the Wolves 15-6 in the second half, the Golden Eagles finished the contest with a 24 to 6 shot advantage (12 to 2 SOG).  
 
Peter Tinaj had an excellent outing, leading all players with six shots on goal and two goals on the day.
 
Andrew Taylor picked up the win, spending all 90 minutes between the pipes for Brockport, finishing with one save.
 
Trevor Lagarde, Giovanni Cardona, Alex Rivara, and Eric Ramirez all played 90 minutes for the Green and Gold.
 
Up Next: Brockport will head to Oneonta, NY to take on Hartwick on Saturday, September 28th at 2 p.m.
