Brockport, NY – The Brockport women's soccer team looks to host Thiel College at A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field on Saturday, September 7th at 1 pm.

Opening Weekend – Last weekend the Golden Eagles opened the season playing back-to-back home games, starting off at 1-0-1. The team won 5-0 in the home opener against the Allegheny Gators, before going on to tie the Skidmore Thoroughbreds 0-0 the next day.

E8 Player of the Week – Transfer Sierra Edwards was announced as the Empire 8 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on September 2nd. Edwards earned the weekly honor after a strong start to the season, with five points on two goals and an assist in the season home opener. Edwards scored her first Brockport point with an assist and the first goal was unassisted with her second hitting the back of the net only a minute later.

A look at Thiel College – The Thiel women's soccer team sits at 1-1 after a 0-3 loss against La Roche University and an 11-0 shutout against the Penn State Beavers. The Tomcats finished out the 2023 season overall at 1-14-1 and conference play at 0-10.

Up Next – Following their matchup with Thiel College, the Golden Eagles will go on to battle it out against Buffalo State on Wednesday, September 11th before Empire 8 Conference games begin. The Golden Eagles will play their first E8 team which will be at Sage College on Saturday, September 14th.
