Women's Basketball Hits the Road for a Pair of E8 Matchups

Brockport, NY- The Brockport women's basketball team will look to extend their winning streak as they head to Elmira on Friday, January 17th, at 5:30 before taking on Keuka College on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Last Outing: The Golden Eagles opened the 2025 home slate with a 91-36 win over SUNY Poly on Tuesday, January 14th. The Golden Eagles moved to 11-2 overall with a 4-0 record in Empire 8 contests.

In just 14 minutes played, Stephanie Jean-Baptiste led all scorers with 16 points, shooting an efficient 7-11 from the field and 2-4 from three.
Kaileigh Hunt collected her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. She was a remarkable 9-10 from the free throw line.
Everybody ate for the Golden Eagles as all 14 Brockport players who entered the contest got themselves into the scoring column.

Top of the Class: Across their first 13 games, the 11-2 Golden Eagles are currently off to the program's best start since the 2007-08 season (12-2 start), which saw Brockport claim a SUNYAC Title and earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

Brockport currently ranks among the nation's best in several statistical categories. The Green and Gold currently hold top-10 rankings in points per game (5th, 81), turnover margin (6th, 11), offensive rebounds per game (8th, 18.5), steals per game (9th, 15.4), A/TO ratio (9th, 1.23), and rebounds per game (10th, 47.8).

Steal Streak: Contributing greatly to Brockport's excellent start, Peyton Maneri has proven to be an excellent two-way threat for the Green and Gold. Leading the squad with 38 steals, Maneri is the lone Golden Eagle with a steal or better in all 13 games.

Scouting Elmira: The Soaring Eagles hold a 7-6 record with a 1-3 mark in E8 play and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. Elmira will return home following three straight Empire 8 road losses, most recently to Russell Sage 59-55.

Scouting Keuka: The Wolves will be searching for their first E8 win (0-4), sitting at 5-8 overall. Brockport and Keuka have faced off four times since 2011, with Brockport winning all four head-to-head matchups.

Up Next: Brockport will host Houghton on Friday, January 24th at 5:30 p.m.
