Brockport, NY – The men's and women's indoor track and field teams traveled to Rochester for the RIT Friday Night Meet and showed out.
Men's Team:
In the men's 5000m race, Patrick Klinger had a strong first place finish to start out the day at a time of 15:11.02
In the 400m race, Tim Smith clinched a third-place finish at 52.36 seconds with Brandt Marshall coming in fourth just .5 seconds later at 52.86.
Ayden Grinion and Cole Ferris too second and third in the men's 300m with Grinion in second at 36.01 seconds and Ferris in third at 36.19 seconds.
Coming in first place in the 800m race was Connor Kerr crossing the line at 1:58.80 with Thomas Canestrari taking third at 2:02.04.
Brian Cappellini had a day in the men's 1000m coming across the line at 2:38.64 good for a second-place finish.
In the men's pole vault, Nathan Crane put up second place with a 4.45m jump with Daniel Reinhart just one place later with a 4.30m jump.
Hunter Richards clinched a third-place spot in the men's shot put with a 13.42m throw.
Collin Dicks had a 6.80m leap in the men's long jump good for a first-place finish while Adam Curtis covered 6.64m taking third place.
In the triple jump, Dennis Bobbitt took second place after a 13.89m jump.
Women's Team:
Starting out the day in the women's 400m race was
Ariana Proper with a first-place finish at a time of 1:02.84.
Monica Cammarota took third in the women's 300m at just 44.66 seconds.
In the finals of the women's 60m hurdles,
Alexis Rodriguez had a strong performance coming in first place at 9.91 seconds with
Lily Rexford taking third at 10.04 seconds.
Brockport had three top 3 finishers in the women's 800 with
Maeve Robarge taking first at 2:27.84,
Marissa Wise coming in second at 2:28.79, and
Leah Lloyd clinching the third-place finish at 2:29.36.
Vanessa Ramos crossed the line at 3:13.28 in the women's 1000m race which was good for a third-place finish.
In the women's 200m sprint,
Alexis Rodriguez took second place crossing the line at just 26.92 seconds.
Isabel Swyers and Kora Dininny took second at third in the pole vault with Swyers making a jump of 3.15m and Dininny with a 3.00m jump.
Michaela Levesque took third in the women's high jump with a 1.53m leap over the bar.
In the women's shot put,
Trinity Dees had a strong 12.08m throw bringing her to a second-place finish on the day.
Finishing out the day in the women' weight throw was
Katrina Chandler taking first place with a 14.83m throw.
