Brockport, NY- On Monday, January 6th, the Empire 8 announced its weekly selections for men's and women's swimming & diving Athletes of the Week. Luca Olivieri was named the men's swimming & diving Athlete of the Week after an excellent performance at Nazareth last Saturday.

In the men's team's 131-88 win over Nazareth on Saturday, Olivieri contributed in a big way. The junior from Canandaigua notched victories for Brockport in the 50-meter-freestyle (25.08 seconds) and 100-meter-breaststroke (1:12.18). Following the win, the men's team improved to 2-5 on the season in dual meet competition.

The Brockport swimming & diving teams will head to Geneva, NY, on Saturday, January 11th to take on Hobart and William Smith College.
