Men's Soccer Earns Hard Fought Draw at Elmira

BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Men's Soccer team battled Elmira to a 0-0 draw on the road on Saturday, October 18th. The Golden Eagles moved to 7-4-3 overall and 6-1-2 in conference play following the scoreless draw.

The Brockport offensive attack pressured Elmira throughout, with the green and gold holding a 4-0 shots edge in the first half. Trevor Lagarde, Jaidyn Caccomo, and Keegan Watson would all record shots on goal in the first half, but Elmira would stand tall to head into halftime tied.

The Golden Eagles would keep up the pressure in the second half, recording nine shots across the final 45 minutes.

Despite scoring chances from Max Voyer, Alex Rivera, Jadin Lyle, and Brady Reinagel, Juan Carlos Cruz Gandia of Elmira would provide an incredible effort between the pipes. The Soaring Eagles' goaltender would make seven saves to help force a 0-0 draw.

AJ Nelson (T, 6-0-2) earned his third consecutive shutout, making a save across 90 minutes of play. Nelson has recorded five shutouts on the season.

Brady Reinagel led Brockport with five shots, with two shots on goal.

With the draw, Brockport has not lost a contest in over a month, posting a 5-0-2 record since September 16th.

Up Next: Brockport will return home for Youth Soccer Day against Utica on Saturday, October 25th at 12 pm.
