Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's volleyball team will wrap up the regular season at home this weekend with a pair of E8 matchups. The Golden Eagles host Sage for a 6pm start to Senior Night on Friday and then welcomes Hartwick on Saturday at 2pm.
Senior Night: Friday night the Golden Eagles will celebrate Senior Night, recognizing a class of five seniors prior to the start of the match. Brockport will thank

Locked in & Looking for More: With an 8-1 record in the conference, Brockport has already clinched a postseason berth for the 2025 E8 Tournament. Currently tied with Hartwick for the No. 2 seed, the final two games of the regular season will impact seeding and hosting rights for the conference tournament.
Last Match Recap: Brockport volleyball claimed its eighth victory in a row on Saturday, defeating Houghton at home, 3-0. The Golden Eagles were able to jump out to a 1-0 lead, taking the first set, 25-18, against the Highlanders. Houghton held on to a narrow edge on the scoreboard for most of the second set. However, Brockport rallied late to steal the set, 25-22. The third set was Brockport all the way, with the squad cruising to a 25-8 win to complete the sweep.
Home Sweet Home: With the win over the weekend at home, Brockport continues to defend home court at a high level. This season, the squad is 6-1 playing at The Vlog with two more key E8 matchups at home coming this weekend. Since Head Coach
Jim Clar took over in 2023, the Golden Eagles have been great at home with a 19-2 record.
On the Attack: The trio of
Alexis Sison,
Luba Butcher, and
Madisen Jones lead the attack at the net for the Golden Eagles. Sison has the most kills of the group at 172 (2.65 k/s), while Butcher is close behind at 169. Jones has 161 kills, averaging a team-best 2.68 kills per set.
Jewett With the Set Up: Kaitlyn Jewett has been a staple in the lineup as the Golden Eagle setter, playing in all 81 sets on the season. She has registered 559 assists so far, ranking fourth in the Empire 8 with 6.9 assists per set.
Lethal on the Serve: As a team, Brockport is third in the Empire 8 with 223 service aces (2.75 per set). Leading the Green and Gold with 63 aces,
Kaitlyn Jewett is second in the conference with 0.78 aces per set.
Gianna Felipe is also inside the top 10 within the E8, totaling 39 aces.
Just Keep Digging: In a true group effort defensively, the Green and Gold have four players with over 100 digs on the season. Libero
Gianna Felipe leads the hustle with 278 digs (3.52 per set), ranking inside the top 10 in the conference. Contributing to the cause is
Alexis Sison (198 digs),
Kaitlyn Jewett (146 digs), and
Luba Butcher (124 digs).
Blocking the Way: First year middle blocker,
Ana Parella is tops on the team with 47.0 total blocks on the season (0.64 per set). Parella is first on the squad with both 12 solo blocks and with 35 block assists.
Luba Butcher has gotten up for 34.0 total blocks and
Alenna Williamson has made an impact with 31.0.
Looking at Sage: The Russell Sage Gators have won two in a row heading into the final week of the regular season. At 11-11 overall and 6-3 in the Empire 8, Sage is locked into the postseason with hopes to climb the standings for a home postseason match. Following the match Friday night at Brockport, the Gators head to Geneseo Saturday for the final match of the regular season.
Brockport vs Hartwick: Saturday's matchup serves as the regular season finale and a crucial E8 game to determine final postseason seeding. Hartwick enters the weekend at 17-10 overall with an 8-1 mark in the conference. The Hawks face Geneseo on Friday, ahead of Saturday's key matchup at Brockport. Hartwick is currently riding a 6-match win streak coming into the final week of the season. Winner of Saturday's match between Brockport and Hartwick is most likely to clinch the Empire 8's No. 2 seed.
E8's Coming Up Next: Following the conclusion of the regular season this weekend, Brockport will turn its attention to the postseason.
