Ground Game Greatness: Simmons Earns AP First-Team All-America Recognition

Brockport football standout Isaiah Simmons was named to the 2025 NCAA Division III Associated Press All-American First Team, as announced by the national news organization on December 18 at noon. The honor marks a major milestone in Simmons' collegiate career and places him among the nation's elite performers at the Division III level.

The Associated Press recognition builds on an already impressive postseason résumé for Simmons. On December 10, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) released its 2025 Division III Coaches' All-America Teams, where Simmons earned Second-Team All-America honors. He also collected Empire 8 First-Team All-Conference, D3football.com First-Team All-Region, and was named the Most Valuable Player of the ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl Game.

Simmons enjoyed a historic 2025 campaign for the Golden Eagles, emerging as one of the top running backs in the nation. He rushed for 1,609 yards and 23 touchdowns on 241 carries, averaging 146.27 rushing yards per game and 6.7 yards per carry. His impact extended beyond the ground game, as he added 22 receptions for 147 yards and a receiving touchdown.

Brockport concluded the 2025 season with a 7–4 overall record and a 4–3 mark in Empire 8 play, highlighted by a home ECAC Bowl victory over Geneva (Pa.). The Golden Eagles earned a postseason berth for the ninth consecutive season and captured an ECAC Bowl title for the second straight year.
