Brockport, NY – On Monday, the Empire 8 announced Dennis Bobbitt as the E8 Field Athlete of the Week after putting up record-breaking top performances at the Houghton December Classic over the weekend. 

In the triple jump, the sophomore jumped for an impressive 14.86 meters, earning him first place at the meet. Bobbitt also crushed an 18-year-old triple jump school record of 14.79 meters. 

In the long jump, Bobbitt earned himself yet another top spot on the board with a 7.28m jump to take first place in the meet and second all-time in Brockport. 

Up Next – The Golden Eagles are set to compete again following the winter break on Saturday, January 17^th, as they host the Brockport Invitational at the SERC at 10am.
