Brockport, NY – The men's and women's indoor track and field teams showed out in their competitive weekend of racing during their trips to Boston University and Nazareth University this weekend. 

David Hemery Invitational at Boston:

Day 1 – The men's team put forth a strong effort in their races during the first day at Boston and posted impressive results. 

In the men's 800m race, Owen Arbocus crossed the line with a new school record of 1:53.92. Brian Cappellini also made his Boston debut with a mark of 1:58.74 and Nick Markle finished at 2:04.34. 
Charlie Alekson had a hard earned second all-time mile performance at a time of 4:11.98. Jonathan Zavala finished out the race at 4:17.02. Patrick Klinger finished just two seconds later crossing the line at 4:19.81 and Thomas Canestrari put a time on the board at 4:23.98. Thomas Kressley finished out the race at 4:25.25. 

Making second all time in the men's 3000m race was Sean Killip with a skilled time of 8:26.14. Jared Smith also earned a quick mark of 8:31.72. 

Day 2 – During the second day of the meet, the women also put a handful of fast times on the board. 

In the women's 800m race, Ethne Degan also made a strong Boston debut with a time of 2:18.16. Vanessa Ramos and Maeve Robarge finished just milliseconds apart with Ramos at 2:25.09 and Robarge at 2:25.46. 

Finishing out the day in the women's mile was Mia Vizcaino with a third all-time finish at 5:10.46. Jaylah Cossin made her mark at 5:12.61 and Julianne Wilson crossed the line just three seconds later at 5:15.80. 
 
DIII Elite Meet at Nazareth:

Men's Team: 
Finishing third in the men's finals of the 60m hurdles was Jeremy Chen clinching third and putting up a time of just 8.61 seconds. 

In the 400m sprint, Michael Durski marked a time of 49.88 seconds good for a fourth-place finish. Ayden Grinion crossed the line just two places later in sixth at a time of 49.88 seconds. 

Michael Durski also had a day in the 200m sprint taking third while finishing at just 22.46 seconds. Cole Ferris was quick to finish after in eighth place at 22.63 seconds. 

Connor Kerr took third in the men's 800m making his mark on the board at 1:57.13. 

In the men's shot put, Mitchell Ellsworth finished out the day in 10^th place with a 13.13m throw. 

In the triple jump, Dennis Bobbitt put up an impressive result of 13.53m good for a fourth-place finish. 

Dennis Bobbit also made a strong mark in the long jump in seventh place with a 6.62m leap. Thomas Fey finished close behind in ninth with a 6.61m jump. 

Cardin Chau showed out in the high jump putting up a second-place mark from a 1.92m jump. 
 
Women's Team: 

Marissa Wise had an excellent day finishing in first place in the women's 400m at 58.02 seconds. Lexi Rodriguez clinched a third-place finish at 58.92 seconds. 

The women's 200m sprint brought in a new school record from Marissa Wise at just 25.44 seconds also good for a first-place finish on the day. Lexi Rodriguez also made another strong time of 26.47 seconds. 

In the women's shot put, Trinity Dees put up a ninth-place finish with an 11.76m throw. 

Finishing out the day was Sasha Schramm in the high jump with a skillful second place finish from an 11.53m jump. 

Next Up – The Golden Eagles are set to travel to Nazareth University next weekend for the Conference Tune-Up on Friday, February 28^th and Saturday, March 1^st.
