Brockport, N.Y. – The Brockport Men's Indoor Track and Field team concluded the 2025–26 indoor season with 11 student-athletes earning All-Conference honors following strong performances at the Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Senior Gabriel Giannini capped a dominant season by being named Empire 8 Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. Giannini set a new Brockport heptathlon school record with 5,126 points and qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, where he competed in both the heptathlon and long jump, earning All-America honors. At the Empire 8 Championships, Giannini secured Second Team All-Conference recognition with runner-up finishes in the pole vault (4.67m) and long jump (7.33m), the latter placing him third all-time in program history.

Sophomore Dennis Bobbitt delivered an outstanding season as one of Brockport's top jumpers, earning First Team All-Conference honors in both the long jump and triple jump. Bobbitt recorded the second-best long jump in program history at 7.38 meters and posted a mark of 14.69 meters in the triple jump. He concluded the season as an All-American after competing at the NCAA Championships in both events.

Junior Timothy Smith earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the 800 meters following a silver-medal performance at the Empire 8 Championships, crossing the finish line in 1:52.71 to qualify for nationals. Smith capped his season as an All-American while setting three program records in the 800m (1:51.61), 600m (1:19.75), and 500m (1:05.60).

Senior Derek Grimshaw led Brockport's sprint group with All-Conference honors in two events. Grimshaw captured the Empire 8 title in the 60 meters with a time of 6.85 seconds, setting both a championship meet record and a Brockport school record. He also earned Third Team All-Conference honors in the 200 meters (22.32 seconds) and currently ranks fourth all-time in the event with a mark of 22.14 seconds.

Junior Evan Thayer secured All-Conference recognition in the 60 meters with a third-place finish (7.00 seconds), moving him into seventh place on Brockport's all-time list. Throughout the season, Thayer consistently contributed as one of the team's top sprinters, including third-place finishes in the 60 meters at both the Brockport Friday Night Meet and the Nazareth D3 Elite Meet, as well as a first-place finish as part of the 4x200-meter relay.

Sophomore Jeremy Chen closed out the season with Second Team All-Conference honors in the 60-meter hurdles. Chen earned his podium finish at the Empire 8 Championships with a time of 8.37 seconds and set a new Brockport school record in the event at the Nazareth D3 Elite Meet (8.28 seconds), where he also claimed first place.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Michael Durski, Malakye Moss, Owen Arbocus, and Ayden Grinion earned Second Team All-Conference honors with a runner-up finish at the Empire 8 Championships, posting a time of 3:20.32. The performance ranks fourth all-time in program history.
