Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's and women's swimming & diving teams wrapped up day one of Empire 8 Championships from the Webster Aquatics Center on Wednesday, February 19
th. The women's team currently sits in 3
rd place (121 points), with the men's team sitting in 5
th place (76 points) after day one.

The women's 400-yard medley relay of
Miya Vitale,
Addy Martino,
Sarah Kilburn, and
Elizabeth Sagan would earn bronze for Brockport, taking third place with a 4:00.43 finish.

Elizabeth Sagan would snag another medal for Brockport in the women's 50-yard freestyle, taking a close second place with a 23.94 finals time.

Ren Watson snagged a bronze medal in the men's 3-meter dive, finishing with 407.75 points.

The men's 400-yard medley relay picked up a fourth-place finish, with Luca Olivieri, Sean Feeney, Erik Parkes, and Carter Lundin finishing with a strong 3:33.18 mark to tie the school record.

Sarah Kilburn earned herself a fourth-place finish in the women's 50-yard freestyle, scoring 15 points with her 24.28 mark.

Leah Allen-Comella finished fourth in the women's 50-yard freestyle, wrapping up in 26.06 in a strong performance.

Jace Fredericksen earned a top-10 finish in the men's 500-yard freestyle, finishing ninth in 4:59.04.

In the women's 500-yard freestyle, the freshman duo of
Hannah Ramos (5:27.69) and
Sarah Colwell (5:30.74) took 9
th and 10
th place to score for Brockport.

The Golden Eagles will return to the pool on Thursday, February 19
th, with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. Day two finals rounds will begin at 5:30 p.m.
