Brockport, NY – On Saturday, March 15^th, Jonathan Zavala competed in the men's mile at the NCAA Division III Championships and posted stellar results. 

Yesterday, Zavala competed in the preliminary round of the mile finishing in first place with a time of 4:10.80 which secured his spot in the final round. 

Jon Zavala had an impressive performance finishing in second place running his season best time of 4:06.48. His silver medal finish led him to achieve All-American status for the second year in a row in the men's mile. Zavala earned All-American last year after a third place finish, becoming the first Brockport athlete to earn the honor in back-to-back seasons. 

Zavala finished up a strong season with the Golden Eagles breaking two school records and multiple first place finishes this year. He took his own 800m record with a time of 1:53.06 and the 3000m record at a mark of 8:25.12.
