Brockport, NY- The Brockport baseball team notched another win in Florida, downing Ripon College 9-0 on Sunday, March 16^th. The Golden Eagles improved to 10-1 following the victory.
 
Ryan Peters (W, 2-0) posted an excellent start for Brockport, striking out seven batters with just one hit allowed.
 
In the second inning, Jason Mansell would open the scoring with a three-RBI double to put Brockport ahead 3-0.
 
The fifth inning saw Zach Eldred continue his excellent start, smacking a single to right field to score two Golden Eagles and expand the lead to 5-0.
 
Following Timothy Venditti's RBI fielder's choice in the sixth inning, Josh Index plated two more with a two-RBI single to put Brockport up 8-0.
 
Frank Vanzillotta rounded out the scoring for Brockport, smacking an RBI single for Brockport's ninth and final run of the afternoon.
 
Jason Mansell had a big day behind the dish, reaching base safely three times (2-3, BB) with three RBIs.
 
Victor Alongi provided a strong effort, going 2-5 with two runs scored.
 
Micheal Heilig, Brendan Pajak, and Thomas Browne combined for three scoreless frames to preserve the shutout.
