Brockport, NY- The Brockport baseball team took care of business in Ohio, sweeping The College of Wooster in doubleheader action, 11-5, 14-9, on Sunday, March 9
th. The Golden Eagles move to 7-0 on the season following the win.

Game One: Brockport 11 – Wooster 5
Â
The Golden Eagles would start with a bang in the first, with
Jason Story connecting for a three-run homer to put Brockport ahead 3-0 early in the first.
Â
Wooster would take advantage of Brockport's defensive miscues in the fourth, netting three runs in the inning to tie the game at 3-3.
Â
Brockport would waste no time reclaiming the lead, scoring three runs between the fifth and sixth innings. Josh Index would drive an RBI triple to left field before
Zach Eldred would rip an RBI single in the fifth.

The Brockport bats would strike again, with
Matthew Coon launching a two-run homer in the seventh before Eldred would connect for a two-run home run of his own to put Brockport up 10-3.

Wooster would add two runs in the ninth, but the comeback bid would come too late as Brockport would claim an 11-5 win.

Zach Eldred (W, 2-0) had another excellent two-way performance, going 2-5 with a homer and three RBIs, in addition to pitching five innings with five punchouts.

Jason Story (1-4, BB) and
Matthew Coon (2-5) each homered and drove in three runs each for the Green and Gold.
Â
Anthony Lapine tossed three scoreless innings out of the bullpen for Brockport.

Game Two: Brockport 14 – Wooster 9
Â
The first five runs of the contest belonged to Brockport, highlighted by
Matthew Coon's RBI double in the second and Coon's two-run homer in the third. Â
Â
Following a two-run fourth from Wooster to cut the lead to 5-2, Brockport would respond with another five-run surge to go up 10-2.

After scoring on a wild pitch in the fifth,
Jason Story would continue his big day with a two-RBI double in the seventh, followed by a three-run homer in the eighth that gave Brockport a 13-4 lead. Â Â Â Â

Wooster would threaten with five straight runs to cut the lead to 14-9 going into the ninth, but
Matt Mayer would close out the scoring with a solo home run to help give Brockport a 14-9 win.

Angelo Agro (W, 1-0) was excellent for Brockport, striking out four batters across five innings with no earned runs.
Â
Jason Story would build off a good showing in game one, going 4-4 with five RBIs and five runs in an excellent outing.

Nick Ianniello shut the door for Brockport, tossing a scoreless ninth inning.
