Brockport, NY – The outdoor men's and women's track and field teams finished up competition at the University of Rochester Alumni Weekend meet with multiple top-three finishes today. 

Men's Team: 

Starting the day in the men's 3000m steeplechase, Connor Couperus took 2^nd place with a time of 10:03.95. 

Jonathan Zavala clinched a third place spot at a mark of 3:57.46 which was also an AARTFC qualifying time. 

In the 110m hurdles, Kevin Brown crossed the line in just 15.50 seconds good for second place, an AARTFC qualifying time, and a tie for ninth all time in Brockport. 

Ayden Grinion had a day crossing the line in the 400m race in just 49.60 seconds good for a first place spot. Aaron Ottenwalder finished shortly after at 51.17 seconds in fifth place. 

In the 100m sprint, Kevin Brown took fourth at 11.03 seconds good for a tie for 10^th all time, Cole Ferris took sixth at 11.17 seconds, and Bryce Roberts finished in seventh at 11.18 seconds. 

Finishing in fourth in the men's 800m was Thomas Canestrari at a time of 1:58.30. 

Jeremy Chen clinched a third place spot in the 200m sprint at a mark of 22.65 seconds. 

The 4x400 team, consisting of Michael Durski, Jeremy Chen, Cole Ferris, and Ayden Grinion had an impressive first place finish at a time of 3:18.19 which was an AARTFC qualifying time and good for third all time at Brockport. 

In the discuss, Duncan Harbin had a sixth place finish from a 39.90m throw. 

Michell Ellsworth took fourth in the shot put at 13.71m. Nick Wright finished one spot later in fifth at 13.70m, and Allen Reome took sixth at 13.70m. 

Gabriel Giannini had a strong second place finish in the pole vault jumping 4.62m. 

Jack Valentine also had a second place finish in the high jump, clearing the pole at 1.86m, and Dennis Bobbitt finished one place later in third, also at 1.86m. 

In the long jump, Collin Dicks had a well-deserved second place from a 6.92m jump and Dennis Bobbitt finished up in third at 6.92m. 
 

Women's Team: 

Starting out the day strong was Julianne Wilson competing in the 3000m steeplechase and finishing in second at 11:45.14 which was also an AARTFC qualifying time. 

Ethne Degan finished strong in third place in the 1500 at an AARTFC qualifying time of 4:43.05 also good for third all time in Brockport.

Lily Rexford crossed the line in just 16.73 seconds in the 100m hurdles helping her to a fourth place spot.  

Jaylah Cossin had an AARTFC qualifying time in the 800m of 2:18.61 good for a first place finish and an eighth all time spot in the record books. 

In the 400m hurdles, Marissa Wise fought hard for a second place finish from an AARTFC qualifying time of 1:03.86 also good for a third all time spot in Brockport history. 

Finishing in third in the 200m was Alexis Rodriquez at a quick time of 26.20 seconds. 

In the 5000m race, Kylie Bowman clinched a third place finish at a time of 19:09.33. 

The 4x400 team consisting of Alexis Rodriguez, Monica Cammarota, Courtney Bostic, and Marissa Wise dominated in their races for a first place spot from an AARTFC qualifying time of 3:59.86 also
helping them to a sixth all time spot. 

In the discus, Rebecca Heuler had an impressive seventh all time throw of 42.44m, good for a first place spot at the meet. 

Trinity Dees finished up in fifth in the shotput with an 11.71m throw. 

Michaela Levesque and Justice Crane finished in first and second in the high jump with Levesque (1^st) jumping 1.53m and Crane (2^nd) also jumping 1.53m. 

Finishing off the day was Sarah Parr taking fourth in the hammer throw with a 46.20m throw. 

Up Next – The Golden Eagles are set to travel to St. John Fisher University next weekend on Saturday, April 26^th for the Cardinal Classic starting at 10am, which will be the last meet before E8 Championships.
