Brockport, NY – The men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed in day 1 of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Outdoor Championships and had some strong finishes.

Men's Team:
Following day 1,
Gabriel Giannini sits in first place in the men's decathlon with 3577 points and
Tyler Miller is in ninth with 3062 points.
In the 100m sprint, Giannini finished first with a time of 10.98 seconds. Miller took 13
th at 11.69 seconds. Giannini finished in first yet again in the long jump at 6.70m, and Miller took 12
th at 6.16m. Miller
finished in second in the shot put from an 11.11m throw, and Giannini clinched third at 10.87m. In the high jump, Giannini took fourth with a 1.79m jump, and Miller finished in eighth at 1.73m. Giannini finished off day 1 of decathlon events with a third-place spot in the 400 at 50.06 seconds, and Miller took 11
th at 54.81 seconds.
In the 5000m race,
Patrick Klinger clinched the third-place spot from a quick time of 4:42.39.
Dennis Bobbitt made an 11
th place spot in the long jump from a 6.79m jump.
Women's Team:
Starting off the day for the women's team was Julianne Wilcon, taking 12
th in the 3000m steeplechase at 11:24.05, and Leah Lloyd finishing in 15
th at 11:34.05.
In the long jump, Sasha Schramm jumped 5.33 meters good for a 12
th place spot on the board.
Rebecca Heuler took eighth in the women's discuss from a 39.97m throw, and Savana Henry finished 20
th at 33.27m.
Isabel Swyers finished up the day for the Golden Eagles taking 15
th in the pole vault clearing the pole at 3.14m.
Day 2 – The Green and Gold are back in action tomorrow, May 15
th, for day two of the AARTFC Championship meet at Williams College, starting at 10am.
