BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Men's Soccer team came up short at Hobart, 4-1, on Tuesday, September 16th. The Golden Eagles fall to 1-4-1 following the loss.
The Statesmen took advantage of an early Brockport miscue, taking a 1-0 lead 7:46 into the first half. Joe Pariano would net a penalty kick goal for Hobart.
The Golden Eagles would respond quickly, with
Khadim Amar scoring his first goal as a Golden Eagle. Amar's goal would tie the game at 1-1 at the 18:30 mark.
Despite Hobart's pressure,
Matthew Sandison's two first half saves would keep the contest at 1-1 entering halftime.   Â
Hobart would take control in the second half, scoring the game's final three goals. Two goals from Brday Leitner, just over 13 minutes apart, would put the Statesmen up 3-1.
The Golden Eagles would be unable to post a shot on goal in the second half, with Griffin Coutts rounding out the scoring for Hobart in the 77th minute.
Andrew Watrous would close out the contest in net for Brockport, making a save across 12:31 of scoreless action.
Hobart would finish the contest with a 10-2 shots on goal advantage, limiting Brockport to just one corner kick.Â
