BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Men's Soccer team will head to Geneva, NY, to take on Hobart College on Tuesday, September 16
th at 4 pm.
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles fell in conference opener action at Russell Sage, 2-1, on Saturday, September 13
th. Brockport dropped to 1-3-1 on the season following the loss.
Ryan Mathis and
Brady Reinagel led the offensive charge with three shots on goal each.
Jayden Green secured his first goal as a Golden Eagle, burying a feed from
Trevor Lagarde.
Leading the Pack: Through five games,
Ryan Mathis leads the squad with five points, with Mathis and
Peter Tinaj leading in scoring with two goals each.
Trevor Lagarde has been a key distributor for Brockport, leading all players with two assists.
Khadim Amar leads all Golden Eagles in minutes played, starting the entirety of all four Brockport outings.
Creating Opportunities: Despite a recent losing streak, the Brockport offense has created 25 scoring chances across its last three games. Posting nine shots on goal in each of their previous two games, the Golden Eagles have posted seven or more shots on goal per game, with 55 total shots in their last three outings.
Scouting Hobart: The Statesmen have jumped out to a 4-0-1 start, most recently drawing with Rochester, 1-1, last Saturday. The two squads haven't met since 2010, seeing Brockport secure a 1-0 win at home.
