D3football.com Top 25: The SUNY Brockport football team is now officially ranked at No. 25 in the nation in the latest D3football.com Top 25 poll. The Golden Eagles earned their spot in the rankings after a 14-10 win over Hobart put them at 2-0 to start the season. Brockport was on the Top 25 radar in the preseason, receiving votes in the poll from D3football.com in the preseason. A dominant, 41-0, win in week one at Buffalo State helped improve the squad's case for a spot in the rankings. Heading into week two, Brockport was just outside the Top 25 looking in. The Green and Gold had the most votes in the poll for teams not in the Top 25. However, after a 14-10 win against the Hobart Statesmen, Brockport lands at No. 25 in the country heading into week three against RPI.

Smooth Running for Simmons: Brockport's star back, Isaiah Simmons, has been the primary offensive weapon through the first two weeks. Defensive Dominance: Brockport's defense continues to be one of the strongest units in the country on that side of the ball. T-3rd in Sacks – 10
T-6th in Defensive TDs – 1
10th in Scoring Defense – 5.0 points per game
11th in Total Defense – 174.5 yards per game

Brockport vs RPI: Saturday's battle will be just the fourth ever meeting between the two programs at RPI and Brockport. Then back in 1984, the first ever meeting between the schools resulted in a 42-0 win for RPI. The Golden Eagles will look to even up the head-to-head series this weekend.

Scouting the Engineers: RPI enters week three of the 2025 season with a 1-1 record ahead of the showdown with Brockport. The Engineers opened the new year with a 26-9 win on the road against WPI for the Transit Trophy Game. In week two however, the squad was taken down by Utica, 41-14, in another road matchup.

Homecoming Weekend on Deck: Next time out for Brockport will be Homecoming Weekend for the Golden Eagles on Saturday, September 27th. They will host Hartwick College for a 1pm kickoff at Bob Boozer Field, to help celebrate a special weekend on the campus of SUNY Brockport.
