BROCKPORT, N.Y – The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team will host the University of Rochester on Wednesday, September 2
nd, at 7 pm before welcoming Clarkson on Saturday, September 6
th, for senior day at 3 pm.
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles defeated RIT in home opener action, 1-0, on Friday, August 29
th. The win marked consecutive seasons with a season opener win over RIT.
Matthew Sandison (W, 1-0) was stellar between the pipes, making five saves to secure a shutout win in his Brockport debut.

Trevor Lagardeall went the distance for Brockport, playing 90 minutes each in strong individual efforts.
Peter Tinaj notched the game-winning goal for the Golden Eagles, connecting at the 50:07 mark of the contest to lead Brockport to the win.
Weekly Awards: Impressing in his first career start,
Matthew Sandison earned Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week honors following his shutout performance against RIT. Sandison would keep Brockport within striking distance in the first half, making four critical stops. The sophomore would finish with five saves in the contests, picking up his first shutout win as a Golden Eagle.
Starting Strong: Following the win against RIT, Brockport has posted a 3-0-4 record in its first two contests of the season since 2022. The Golden Eagles have not lost a season opener since 2021, posting a 2-0-2 record against RIT since 2022.
Senior Day: Before Saturday's game against Clarkson, the Golden Eagles will recognize six seniors for their contributions to the Brockport Men's Soccer program.

Scouting Rochester: The Yellowjackets will enter Wednesday's matchup with a 0-2 record, suffering losses to SUNY Cortland and Nazareth last weekend. Last year's matchup saw Brockport and Rochester battle to a 0-0 draw early in the season
Scouting Clarkson: The Golden Knights have jumped out to a 1-0-1 start, drawing with Oswego State last Friday before defeating St. John Fisher 2-1 on Sunday. Brockport and Clarkson have split the last two matchups, with the Golden Knights earning a 2-1 win at home last season.
