Brockport, NY – Brockport's Kiara Hockman was recognized this week as the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) East Specialist Gymnast of the Week.
 
Hockman had an impressive performance across three events, helping lead the Golden Eagles to a dual victory over Ithaca at home this past weekend.
 
She scored a 9.800 in two different events, tying for first place on both the balance beam and the floor exercise. Kiara also added a 9.775 on the vault for Brockport, which was good for second in the event.
 
Brockport defeated Ithaca to celebrate its first home meet of the season, 191.200-187.600.
 
The Golden Eagles head to the Golden Girls Classic, hosted by Eastern Michigan University this weekend. They will take on Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois in the meet, scheduled for a 4pm start on Saturday, January 17^th.
