Brockport, NY – The wrestling team is set to play host this weekend for the SUNYAC Championships on Saturday, January 24
th at 10am in the SERC. The Golden Eagles will be competing against eight other schools including Cortland, Elmira, Ithaca, Oneonta, Oswego, RIT, St. John Fisher, and Utica.

Home Opener Recap – Last weekend, the Green and Gold hosted Niagara County Community College and walked away with a 53-0 victory.
Starting off the match strong at 165 was
Max Morrison who took the 19-3 technical fall win at 4:57.
Up next was
Kiam Coleman, who earned points for the team from a forfeit win.
At 184,
Avery Bustamante picked up another win for the team from a pin, 4:27 into his competition.
Simon Lingle fought hard in the 197 division, finishing with a 12-1 major decision.
Mike Welsh also gained free points for the Golden Eagles in the 285 bout, from a win by forfeit.
Trevor Middendorf took his turn on the mat at 125, where he had a strong 20-4 technical fall 5:40 into the matchup.
At 133,
Kolton Kelley held his ground in a tough matchup and came out with the 7-3 decision.
Jaden Friel earned an automatic win at 141, earning more free points for the squad by forfeit.
In the 149lb division,
Mason Mangialino had a dominating day, taking down his opponent by pin in just 19 seconds.
Tyler Rossini finished out the day at 157, taking the win by a pin just 1:36 into the competition.
Brockport will be back on the mat on Saturday, January 31
st, as they head to Worcester, MA, for the WPI Quad Match at 11am against the University of Southern Maine, New England College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
