BROCKPORT, NY — The SUNY Brockport women's volleyball team begins its first road weekend of Empire 8 conference play, traveling to Hartwick College on Friday, October 2nd, at 6:00 PM in Oneonta, NY. The Golden Eagles will then head to Albany, NY, on Saturday, October 3rd, for a 12:00 PM matchup against Russell Sage College.

Brockport enters the weekend with a 6-5 overall record after going 1-2 across three matches last week.
The Green and Gold opened the weekend at home with a dominant 3-0 sweep (25-20, 27-25, 25-22) over Buffalo State at the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gym.
The Golden Eagles hit .221 as a team, led by outside hitter Kaylee Dickerson-Holly's match-high 12 kills on a .235 hitting percentage. Kaitlyn Jewett directed the two-setter system alongside Ava Baty, recording 15 assists while delivering five of Brockport's nine service aces. Libero Elsie Logan anchored the defense with 10 digs, reaching a major milestone in her collegiate career.
On Saturday, Brockport traveled to the Cortland Invitational, dropping a pair of 3-0 decisions to host SUNY Cortland and Williams College. Against Cortland, the Red Dragons' block defense limited the Golden Eagles' offensive output, though Luba Butcher recorded six kills and 10 digs.
In the afternoon finale against Williams, the Green and Gold battled through a tightly contested match featuring 19 tie scores and seven lead changes. Anna Kurtzhalts paced the Brockport attack with nine kills, while Jewett added four aces and Grace Ippoliti posted a match-high 19 digs.
NCAA Stat Leaders
Brockport's defensive work rate continues to stand out nationally, with the Golden Eagles ranking 22nd in NCAA Division III and 1st in the Empire 8 in team attacks per set (37.83).
Individually, two Golden Eagles continue to rank among the nation's and conference's statistical leaders:

Kaitlyn Jewett ranks 6th in the nation and 1st in the Empire 8 in service aces per set (0.92). She also ranks 23rd nationally and 2nd in the conference in total aces, with 33.

Elsie Logan ranks 48th in the nation in digs per set (5.07). During Friday's sweep over Buffalo State, Logan surpassed 1,000 career digs, bringing her career total to 1,013 digs (142 on the season).
Scouting Hartwick
The Hawks enter Friday's conference matchup at 6-7 overall and 1-0 in Empire 8 play after sweeping Russell Sage 3-0 in their league opener.
Friday's match is a rematch of last year's Empire 8 Tournament second round, where Brockport fell to Hartwick in a narrow 3-2 battle. The all-time series between the two programs is tied at 3-3.
Scouting Russell Sage
The Gators host Brockport on Saturday at 6-8 overall and 0-1 in Empire 8 play. The matchup revisits last season's Empire 8 Tournament first round, where the Golden Eagles swept Russell Sage 3-0 to advance.
Brockport holds an unblemished 4-0 all-time record against the Gators, with three of those four victories coming via straight-set sweeps.
